What we’re reading…07/03/15

Essentially, it is a list of posts that we wish we had written.

Each Friday, we post “What we’re reading.” Essentially, it is a list of posts that we wish we had written or we feel add to the overall conversation about Tulsa, Life, and Faith. If you have an article that you want us to consider, email our lead contributor, Aaron Tiger (aarontiger@fumctulsa.org).

Tulsa

Public Fireworks Display – This is the best list that we have found of the various Fireworks displays across the 918.

Berry Picking with Your Family in the Tulsa Area – Pretty self-explanatory, but it also has a great little to do list that is helpful for when you go.

Life

It’s Parents’ Week on the918! You can find our posts from the week here.

Here are a couple more great articles on Parenting!

Play Dates vs. Free Range Parenting – A nice, short article with some helpful tips from a Play Therapist.

First Year Parents Survival Guide – This is a little bit of older article, but send this to anybody who is about to become a parent. It is great!

Faith

8 Things Every Person Should Do Before 8 A.M. – Just like last week (link), we had some articles that shared about social sciences confirming Christian behaviors, this article does too. It says to Pray or Mediate and to Read Uplifiting Content! It also says take a cold shower, which will take some more convincing.

Some great words for people of faith, no matter how you feel about same sex marriage.

The Truth about Healthy Friendships. One thing we do not talk a lot about as adults is friendship. This post is helpful for adult friendships today.
