The Tulsa NightWriters

by Joshua Danker-Dake

-Are you a writer?

-Have you ever wanted to be a writer?

-Do you enjoy writing?

-Have you ever thought to yourself, “I have no idea what I’m doing, but someday, I’d like to try writing something”?

If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, I’d like to invite you to come check out the Tulsa NightWriters Club on Tuesday, January 17.

TNWC members are writers of every genre—writers of screen- and stage plays, poetry, mysteries, sci-fi and fantasy, thrillers, romance, and nonfiction of all kinds. Some of us are published; some are not. Some of us write professionally; others write for personal enjoyment. Whatever your writing aspirations are, TNWC is here to help you meet them.

Formed in the 1950s, the Tulsa NightWriters Club (TNWC) is the oldest writers club in Tulsa and an affiliate of the Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc. TNWC is a platform for writers of all levels and abilities to receive support, encouragement, and the tools to help them achieve their writing goals. TNWC does this by providing informational and inspirational speakers at meetings, networking opportunities with other writers and publishing professionals, strategies for book promotion, and connections to local and state writing competitions and conferences.

The Tulsa NightWriters Club meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Martin Regional Library (2601 S. Garnett) in Tulsa. Guests are welcome, and we’d love to see you. Our next meeting is Tuesday, January 17.

If you’re interested in growing as a writer, learning more about writing, publication, and promotion, or connecting with other writers, come and find out what Tulsa NightWriters Club has to offer.
