Tulsa

This news about the Williams company is not good for Tulsa. Pray for all those who are affected in our community.

Local band Hanson came out with a little song, “MMMbop” 20 years ago. Check out the interview the brothers gave recently as they looked back on the song.

This article by the Tulsa World on substitutes (or the lack thereof) in Tulsa Public Schools is important for us to know. “I absolutely think we’re going to see more and more teachers leave the profession in the next couple of years,” Dr. Riley said. “I have had more complaints of being tired and exhausted in the last year or two than I’ve ever seen before.”

Life

This long-form article about a 14-year old girl getting ready for a date is a must read for parents of adolescents. Here’s one quote, “She had ordered the eyeliner on Amazon the night before for next-day delivery. “My mom’s credit card is on there,” she said, “so we can just like get whatever we want. She never notices.”

Faith

Gender inequality is an important faith issue, not just a political issue. This article by Relevant Magazine outlines some of the reasons why.

One of the Christian practices that most of us do not practice is confession. This seven minute video by Kevin Watson should inspire us to practice it.
