Essentially, it is a list of posts that we wish we had written

Each Friday, we post “What we’re reading.” Essentially, it is a list of posts that we wish we had written or we feel add to the overall conversation about Tulsa, Life, and Faith. If you have an article that you want us to consider, email our lead contributor, Aaron Tiger (aarontiger@fumctulsa.org).

Tulsa

Tulsa is about to become an even better place to live. Seems like Tulsa continues to be a city that is seeking to grow and improve, and this grant should help with economic development, public health, and more.

President praises Tulsa Basecamp for Entrepreneurs – We’re excited and thankful for 36 Degrees North and the innovations of the entrepreneurial community in Tulsa that is only getting stronger!

Life

The Awesome Dad Cheat Sheet – This is a few years old. But it’s still a great article with tips for being a great dad.

Hiroshima – 70 years ago, the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. We find this long-read article fascinating because it tells stories of the people who survived. May our world continue to go another 70 years without the use of these weapons for the sake of peace.

Faith

Discipleship as a part of everyday life is a great idea, but sometimes it’s hard to practice. Here is a practical article with practical ways to walk with people.

Practicing Hospitality – Check out this 7 minute video on Christian hospitality produced by Seedbed.
