With the Mayoral inauguration just around the corner, we expect a big feature in Sunday’s Tulsa World. But in the meantime, here’s a slideshow of Mayor-elect Bynum through the years.

“We have in TPS about one-third of our teachers with five years or less experience. That has a drain on our overall system because of the support that requires,” Gist said. “We lose about 20 percent of our workforce every year. I shudder to think what could happen this year … And it just makes me want to cry.” We don’t know what to do other than pray, embrace our teachers, and communicate with our state government about where we need to go from here.
